The 5th Annual Kids Day event to benefit needy children in our community is coming up on Tuesday, September 9th.  We are busy at Windermere helping to gather donations and getting ready for our big day of selling newspapers!

Kids Day is a partnership between the Tri-City Herald and Catholic Family & Child Service.  Through special edition newspaper sales and donations, we raise funds to benefit programs for fragile youth in Benton and Franklin Counties.

On Kids Day, volunteers wearing red t-shirts will be hawking a special Kids Day edition of the Tri-City Herald for $1 each on street corners all over the area.  This special edition highlights prevention and intervention efforts in the Tri-Cities and helps pay for programs that help local children and families of all faiths and cultures.  This year the Kids Day event will also feature an additional 5,000 copies of the Newspapers in Spanish we hope this will reach a new group of people within our community who are ready to reach out and support our event!  Windermere Tri-Cities is excited to help support the Kids Day event and participates in this event yearly with numerous other community partners.  We at Windermere are excited to offer our support in the form of donations and volunteers on the day of the event and we hope to see you all on September 9th.  Just look for the volunteers selling the newspapers around the Tri-Cities, they will be wearing red t-shirts on the day of the event.
